How long do macarons last?

Macarons are one of the most delicate desserts of french cuisine, I can’t get enough of them.  Their flavors are sophisticated and they seem so fragile.

It’s difficult to find good macarons in the U.S.A, so if you do find some fresh macarons like the ones made by french Pastry Chef Jessica Abraham, make sure to treat them well.

In reality you can keep them up to 10 days in the fridge. They will seep their flavor and their texture. Just make sure to put them in a closed box, so that they are not in contact with humidity. Remember that humidity is the macarons worst enemy ( also my teeth, I must confess ).

After a week or 10 days the macarons might start to become dry, or too soft. Even though their taste will still be fine, and you can still eat them without a problem, you will notice that they changed…It’s time to say bye-bye.
